Health & Wellbeing

This pillar focuses on improving the overall health and quality of life for individuals and families in the community. Services may include access to healthcare, mental health support, nutrition programs, and wellness initiatives. By utilizing a two-generational approach, we ensure that both parents and children have access to essential health resources, reinforcing a culture of well-being across generations.

Our Health & Wellbeing Programs

Camp Mariposa

Camp Mariposa empowers children and teens ages 9–17 who have been impacted by a family member’s addiction. Through prevention education, positive activities, and mentoring, the program builds resilience and life skills—helping youth break the cycle of generational addiction and create a brighter, healthier future.

Strengthening Families Program

Strengthening Families is an evidence-based training program that enhances parenting, strengthens family bonds, and reduces risky behaviors. Serving all families, SFP builds on existing strengths and emphasizes the vital role of caregivers. Through interactive sessions, families gain skills in communication, emotional regulation, and problem-solving—fostering safer homes and stronger communities.

Stop The Drama (Anger Management)

Stop the Drama is a 12-session, in-person anger management program for adults and older teens, based on SAMHSA’s evidence-based model. Using cognitive behavioral therapy, participants learn to recognize triggers, manage emotions, and build healthy coping skills through tools like assertive communication, relaxation techniques, and problem-solving.

Peers 4 Change

Peers 4 Change is a recovery support program led by Ohio Certified Peer Supporters—individuals with lived experience in substance use, mental health, or trauma. Through outreach, crisis response, and follow-up services, peers provide guidance, resources, and hope to those seeking recovery. They connect with individuals in shelters, food pantries, courts, and jails, helping reduce justice involvement, support reunification with families, and offer care to those affected by overdose.  Bridging the Gap and Conversations 4 Change are also supported under this program.
