WORK EXPERIENCE PROGRAMS
ABOUT WORK EXPERIENCE PROGRAMS
In partnership with Goodwill Easter Seals, East End's Work Experience Program (WEP) provides intensive case management and job search/job readiness classes to parents of children under 18 who receive State cash assistance through Montgomery County.
We help these families reduce or remove barriers that prevent them from accessing stable, unsubsidized, living wage employment. Parents receive assistance with work readiness training, access to post-secondary education, job searches, work experience placements, life skills, and on-going social service supports for 180 days after they become employed.

The Comprehensive Case Management and Employment Program (CCMEP) is similar to the WEP program but is designed for parents under the age of 25. Parents are encouraged to complete GEDs and seek post-secondary education or training during the years when they have cash assistance.
